Corrections & Clarifications

Oxford Social values accuracy, context and careful wording.

We recognise that published work may occasionally require correction, clarification or updating. This may happen when a factual detail is wrong, when new information becomes available, or when a passage would benefit from clearer context.

If you believe an article contains an error, please send us the article title, link and a clear explanation of the issue.

Where possible, please include the relevant detail, the correction you believe is needed and any supporting source, document or reference that may help us review the matter.

Correction and clarification requests are considered at editorial discretion. We may review the article, check available sources, contact relevant contributors or examine the context before deciding whether a change is appropriate.

Not every request will result in a change. We may decline requests based on personal preference, promotional wording, interpretation, disagreement with opinion or claims that cannot be reasonably verified.

Minor changes, such as style, grammar or formatting improvements, may be made without a formal note.

Where a significant factual correction or clarification is made, we may add a note to the article where appropriate.

Opinion pieces, essays and personal reflections may express the views of their named authors. However, factual claims within those pieces may still be reviewed if a clear and verifiable concern is raised.

To request a correction or clarification, please contact us through Notes to the Editors.
